Do I need a physician’s referral to receive treatment?
A referral from a physician is not required for treatment. However, some insurance providers may require a referral when submitting a claim, so we recommend checking with your insurance provider before booking.
Is there a cancellation policy?
We require 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations with our health care practitioners. Missed appointments or late cancellations may result in a cancellation fee.
What do I need to do for my first visit?
Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment to check in and complete your intake forms. Please bring your personal health number, extended health care insurance information, claim number if you are an ICBC or WorkSafeBC patient, and comfortable clothing.
How long is the first session?
Your initial assessment at Therapex typically takes 30 to 45 minutes. This gives your therapist enough time to understand your condition, complete a full evaluation, and create a treatment plan that’s right for you.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions varies depending on your condition, goals, and response to treatment. Your physiotherapist will discuss a personalized treatment plan with you.
Can I continue exercising during treatment?
Your physiotherapist will guide you on safe activities and any temporary modifications needed during your recovery.
